Music scheduling

Step 7: Templates

Assign clocks to every hour of the week.

Go to Music Scheduling > Build > Templates.

Templates assign clocks to every hour of the week, telling the scheduler which clock to use for each time slot.

Template list

The list shows each template's Name, Description, a Default badge and the date it was Created. Use the buttons on each row to set a template as the default, edit it, or delete it (you'll be asked to confirm).

The scheduler always uses your default template. If no template is set as the default, generating schedules fails. Hours with no clock assigned in the default template are skipped.

Creating a template

Click Create Template.
Enter a Name and optional Description.
Turn on Default Template if this should be the template the scheduler uses.
Click Create Template. You'll then be taken to the grid editor.

Editing a template

The template editor has two panels.

Left panel: clock library

Clock Library lists all your clocks as draggable chips in their assigned colour. Use Search clocks… to find one.

Right panel: template grid

A 7-day (Monday to Sunday) x 24-hour grid. Each cell represents one hour of the week.

  1. Drag a clock from the left panel onto any grid cell to assign it.
  2. Each cell shows the clock name in its colour.
  3. Click an assigned cell and choose Remove clock to clear it.

Per-day actions

Each day header has a menu with:

  • Copy day to: copy all of one day's assignments to another day you pick from the list (for example, copy Monday to Tuesday). Repeat for each day you want to copy to.
  • Clear day: remove all clock assignments for that day.

Template properties

Click the edit icon in the header to open Edit Template Properties, where you can change the name, description and Default Template setting without leaving the grid.

A typical setup might assign:

  • "Breakfast Clock" to Mon–Fri 06:00–09:00
  • "Daytime Clock" to Mon–Fri 10:00–15:00
  • "Drive Clock" to Mon–Fri 16:00–18:00
  • "Evening Clock" to every day 19:00–23:00
  • "Weekend Clock" to Sat–Sun 08:00–18:00

That's setup done. Next: Daily operations.
