Importing your library
Seed Soundwaves with your existing tracks using the one-time library import.
When you first connect a station, Soundwaves doesn't yet know your existing tracks. So the media scan will report everything as skipped until your library is in.
The one-time library import seeds Soundwaves from your current system. You start it yourself: it never runs on its own, and it always asks before it begins.
Start it from the dashboard
The Connector card has an Import library to Soundwaves button. You pick the target library it should fill.
Try a few tracks first
The dialog lets you import only the first handful of tracks. Set a small number such as 5 for a cautious trial run. A limited run brings in just those tracks plus the categories and genres they use, so you can check the result before committing to the whole library.
Run a media scan
After the import, run a media scan so the newly added tracks get linked to the audio files on your machine. There's a checkbox to do this automatically.
Metadata only, never your audio
The import uploads titles, artists, categories, genres and scheduling details. Your actual audio files are never uploaded. They stay on your machine, and the media scan adopts them in place afterwards.
Safe to re-run
Tracks are matched by their id in your system, so running the import again updates existing tracks rather than duplicating them.
